The IES hospital and healthcare portfolio is broad and diverse. Since we have provided services on some of the largest and most complex healthcare projects in Texas, we understand the challenges and goals associated with these types of facilities.
San Antonio, Texas
Services: STRUCTURAL / CIVIL ENGINEERING
SF: 18,000 SF
The proposed 18,000 SF UT Medicine Hill Country project provides a new ambulatory multi specialty clinical services center that will serve to expand UT Medicine’s presence in the San Antonio market. The clinical facility will serve as a gateway for referring patients who need additional services by improving patient access. The facility will provide services not provided at the Medical Arts and Research Center (MARC). It will expand teaching venues for students and trainees, enhance clinical research, and expand the patient base of private and commercial patients. A cadre of primary care practitioners will anchor the facility with up to four physicians and two advanced practice providers housed at the facility. Cardiology, neurology, orthopedic surgery, and urology will also be located here. In addition, an imaging center with MRI, CT Scan and general x-ray will be housed at the site; these modalities will be available for patients of UT Medicine providers as well as for external referrals. The leadership of the UT Medicine Primary Care Center and the participating sub-specialty departments/divisions will also be involved in the planning and operations of the facility.
