The parking garage is one of the Alamo Colleges’ capital improvement projects funded by Bexar County voters by the $450 million 2005 ACCD bond issue. The parking garage, completed spring 2008, cost $14,847,000 and is for students, faculty and staff. The 361,605 SF five-level structure consists of 1,100 parking stalls and includes two glass-back elevators, a stairwell tower and is constructed of pre-cast concrete, with a distinctive red brick exterior that harmonizes with the other buildings on campus. Additionally, perforated metal panels and glass storefront systems help soften the exterior.
