A career at IES will help you achieve your professional goals with educational opportunities for career development.
We offer our staff the following opportunities for career advancement:
We believe in teamwork and work together to achieve project goals. Our engineering and technical staff collaborate in teams created to take each assigned project from concept to completion, including design and construction administration. Our Senior Project Managers guide each project, and with the aid of our more senior level Project Engineers, mentor new graduate engineers. We promote success and offer continuing education through our tuition reimbursement program, standards committees, and professional organization involvement.
We offer competitive salaries and excellent benefits package for full-time employees.
IES offers the following competitive benefits:
Each year IES offers, up to five, summer internships for structural engineering students. Through these internships, IES gives students the opportunity to apply their class work to real world projects and gives the students the opportunity to expand on the concepts learned in school. Come work on one of five teams (including a project manager, a project engineer, and a Revit technician) at our San Antonio office. On this team, you will learn how your engineering calculations translate to framing plans and details within construction documents, how those documents are used to produce the shop drawings from which all of the structural members are fabricated, and attend site visits to see how those members are erected in the field.
