AIA People + Places Awards

The Whitley Center at the Oblate School of Theology served as the backdrop for this year’s 2022 People + Places Celebration presented by AIA San Antonio on Tuesday, November 8. The exclusive event recognizes Professional Achievement of chapter members, Design Excellence of projects submitted for award consideration, and Community Leadership of individuals who have had a positive impact on urban, environmental or neighborhood issues in our city. The event was flawlessly emceed by Jenna Saucedo-Herrera, President and CEO of Greater: SATX. 

IES was honored to receive the 2022 AIA San Antonio Allied Member of the Year Award. The award was established in 2021 to recognize the dedication of an Allied Chapter member for distinguished leadership and dedication to architecture, the profession, and the community. AIA Executive Director Torrey Carlton expressed that IES’ sustained engagement with the chapter had been a hallmark during her tenure. She stated that IES enthusiastic support of AIA’s mission and programming had made it possible for AIA San Antonio to have unparalleled success year after year.
