IES keeps its engineers up to date on design

IES provides its engineers with multiple training opportunities each month.  Most of our engineers participate in the monthly general meetings for Structural Engineers Association of Texas and the American Society of Civil Engineers.  In addition to these opportunities, IES conducts in-house training including vendors educating IES on the benefits their projects bring to the industry.  However, many of these in-house seminars are developed by our internal standards committees.  Already this year the production standards committee has given seminars on “Visual Graphic Standards”, “Modeling Sloped Roofs in Revit”, and will be giving another seminar on “Structural Notes in Revit 2017/2018” in December.  Already this year the technology and engineering standards committee has given seminars on “Jobsite Observations”, “Diaphragm Design (part 1) and Documentation (part 2)”, and just last week gave a seminar on “Post-tensioned Concrete Design (part 1) and Construction Administration (part 2).
